Arusha National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to Arusha National Park with lunch boxes from the hotel for a full-day game drive.
Arusha National Park is one of the most scenic landscapes in Tanzania, located just 32 km from Arusha. This park makes for an excellent one-day excursion. Aside from its rich wildlife, flora, and fauna, much of the park remains relatively unknown. The park features three spectacular features: Momella Lakes, Meru Crater, and the Ngurdoto Crater. Both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru are visible from the park, weather permitting.
The park spans 137 sq. km. Enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in views of the Ngurdoto Crater and Momella Lakes. You may spot giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, olive baboons, colobus monkeys, duikers, and dik-diks. With some luck, you might even see thousands of flamingos on the large lake.
Tarangire National park
After an early breakfast at Keys Hotel, we will drive to Tarangire National Park with a lunch box for a 3-4 hour drive. Embark on an average 6-hour game drive before exiting the park. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through the game sanctuary. The river irresistibly draws wildlife during the dry season, providing water when the surrounding area becomes parched.
Tarangire National Park boasts the highest concentration of elephants in northern Tanzania. The herds often reach impressive numbers, sometimes up to 300. You can also witness lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, cheetahs, zebras, and various types of antelopes and gazelles. In the dry season, the park is a haven for bird watchers, with over 550 species, including the Maasai Ostrich, the largest bird in the world.
Stop for lunch in a suitable picnic spot, then continue wildlife watching in the afternoon. Return to Moshi before sunset.

Rundugai Village Tour
We will depart from the hotel and be driven to Rundugai Cultural Tourism Village, 25 km from Kilimanjaro International Airport. From Moshi, the village is 38 km away. The tour begins at the Kijiweni sub-village, where the Maasai hold their market on Mondays.
Explore the Maasai culture, alongside the Pare and Chagga tribes, each with distinct traditions. Visit a respected midwife, learn about traditional medicines from a herbalist, and experience the weaving of local products such as mats and baskets.
You will also visit the irrigation fields of Pare and Chagga farms, where vegetables like rice, onions, okra, eggplants, and tomatoes are grown for local consumption.
The tour includes a visit to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs for a swim. After lunch, return to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
Materuni Waterfall & Village
A departure for Materuni Village, located 15 km north of Moshi will start after breakfast. Situated on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, Materuni offers stunning views of the mountain and Moshi town, weather permitting.
Spend the day with the Chagga people, learning about their culture and unique lifestyle. Participate in traditional activities, including coffee-making, where you will roast and prepare coffee in the traditional way.
Afterward, visit the local primary school, interact with children, and enjoy a cultural dance. The day concludes with a swim at Materuni Waterfall, followed by a return to your hotel in Moshi for an overnight stay.

Maasai Village
After breakfast, a lunch pack will be given to you from Keys Hotel and drive to the Maasai Village (Olpopongi). Here, you will stay with a Maasai family and witness their traditional lifestyle. You will be introduced to the village leaders, who will share insights into Maasai culture. You can participate in activities such as bead making, singing, and dancing with the Maasai women.
Learn about the challenges the Maasai face in adapting to the 21st century, and engage in discussions about daily life, including female genital mutilation. Capture photos with the Maasai people before returning to Moshi.
Marangu Village
After breakfast, we will drive to Marangu Village and stay with a Chagga family. Experience Chagga culture through visits to traditional homes and involvement in local activities such as feeding livestock, coffee picking, and processing.
Learn how to prepare and cook Chagga dishes like machalari and mtori.
Visit the famous Ndoro Waterfalls, a stunning panoramic viewpoint for photographing the waterfalls and Mount Kilimanjaro. The waterfall is located in Kilimanjaro National Park and offers a serene hiking experience with breathtaking views of lush landscapes.
A one-hour hike through the stunning green landscapes of Chagga lands will bring you to the waterfall, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim.

MT KILIMANJARO TREKKING
– MARANGU ROUTE
You will be driven to Marangu Gate with a lunch box. Upon arrival, complete the registration formalities at the park headquarters.
The hike begins at Marangu Gate (6,000'), and you will hike for 5.5 miles to Mandara Hut (8,860'), near the upper edge of the forest line. The hike takes approximately 3-5 hours.
The route takes you through lush rainforest, opening up to giant heather.
If time and weather permit, a short walk to Maundi Crater is worth the detour. Return to Marangu Gate and drive back to Keys Hotel.
