Stone Town
Arrive at Zanzibar Airport/Harbour. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the heart of Stone Town for check-in and relaxation. Zanzibar boasts a rich history and was once a central hub for trade when the Portuguese settled here in the 16th and 17th centuries. It was Africa’s major trading hub until the mainland became more settled. Known as the 'Spice Island,' Zanzibar was once a major exporter of spices, especially cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and pepper, alongside the slave trade and ivory. Today, the spice trade remains a key part of Zanzibar’s economy.

Stone Town and Spice Tour
After breakfast, meet your guide for a Stone Town City Tour, which explores this historical town, steeped in culture and architecture. The tour includes visits to the former slave market site, now the Anglican Church (built in 1871), the town market, the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, the House of Wonders (Beit-Al-Ajab), the Old Arab Fort, the Palace Museum, and the Old Indian Dispensary (Cultural Center), before continuing to the Maruhubi Palace Ruins via Livingstone House. At 2:00 PM, enjoy a Spice Tour, where you’ll taste tropical fruits and spices while exploring plantations. Learn about various plants used for medicinal purposes, ornaments, and more. Visit the Kidichi Bath, built in 1850 by the first Sultan for his wife, Sheherzad, the granddaughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia. After the tour, return to your hotel.

After breakfast, divers and snorkelers will embark on a ¾ day trip to Mnemba Island, including lunch. Mnemba Reef is known for its clear waters, diverse marine life, and exceptional coral formations. You’ll have a chance to see colorful fish, angel fish, rays, octopuses, and more. The trip offers an 85% chance of spotting dolphins while cruising from Nungwi to Mnemba. You’ll also visit a sandbank at low tide. In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise or relax at your hotel’s restaurant.

The ideal time to visit Tanzania is during the Dry season, from late June to October, offering the best wildlife viewing opportunities. The wildebeest migration in the Serengeti typically occurs from July to September, while the calving season is from late January to February. The southern and western circuit parks are best visited during the Dry season (June to October), whereas the northern circuit parks can be enjoyed year-round.
